short trip to singapore

Last Saturday, me & Ms. Lim (industrial training-hotel colleague) went to Singapore for career fair and my interview. My 1st time trip to Singapore was on January and this is my 2nd time... I thought I couldn't remember the way to my cousin house and the other place. Surprisingly, I went to all places without lost to "holland" =p

Since this is Ms. Lim's 1st time to Singapore, I acted as "tourist guide", taught her to buy 'easylink' card, top-up card, mrt stations & the number of buses to different location. Although some places I never been before, I'm still managed to reach the destination that she wanted to go ( luckily =p )

On Sunday, me, Ms.Lim & CzeYinn went to Suntec Hall for career fair. Since it was a bit boring, we went to health&beauty exhibition which located at the hall besides the career fair. We walked into "London Weight Management" booth and Ms.Lim bought a trial slimming session with $10. As me & CzeYinn under age (below 23 years old), we got free trial slimming session under friend referral part. Both of their objectives were slimming while mine was going to see the company as it's one of the brand companies under Euro Group (the company which I'll go for the interview). So, 3 of us went for 2 and 1/2 hour slimming and got a free trial kit. In conclusion, 3 of us went to enjoy slimming instead of finding job. (Actually, the career fair was more to singaporean/PR, that's why nth to do for us sob sob >.<)

At night, we go to visit ah di. His company offered house renovation services. The environment of office is decorated in nice & high class style ... I wished that was my house hehe...

Today (Monday), Ms. Lim accompanied me to go to Euro Group for an interview. I had gone through 2 interview stages and it used 3 hours to complete it. Then, we rushed to buy bus ticket and went back cousin house for luggage packing. At 4.45pm, we took bus to Jurong East interchange station and took MRT to Kallang Bahru bus station. I made a mistake. That time was a peak hour since everybody finished their works and prepared for heading to homes. And, the bus was stopping a station by station.

I realized we had late for 6pm bus. Along the way from mrt station to Kallang Bahru, I ran non stop by carrying bags. When I reached the bus station, the ticket guy told me that the bus was just left ... OMG, that was the last bus headed to Melaka.. I asked the guy whether can called the bus driver for stopping aside for me. Luckily, both of them were kind. The guy called the bus driver for asking him stopped aside and another guy sent me to the bus location with his car. Really really thanks to them. If not, I had to waste another $16 sg dollar >.<

Huh...Finally, I reached safely at Melaka. This is my 1st time late for bus and also my unforgettable experience =p Thanks god and all who had helped me =)

memories ~

Today finished E-Commerce midterm..It seems easy but I didn't know how to do since I just started to study for it only this morning and from 8am-8pm, I had been "sleeping beauty" (as described by my kt fren) for 3 times for few hours during my study >.<

Brother bought me a 2GB memory card for camera since mine only 512mb and it's not enough to take photos for my australia trip... "Ngam ngam" my hp memory card cant used since it'll make my hp hang so I decided took it out for camera usage. Unfortunately, it can't be formated since it's write under protection... sigh ... When I check through the hp memory card, I reliased there are many photos inside it. My hp camera is only VGA, can consider low quality, but some photos taken still consider "good" hehe...It recall my sweet memories when see through the photos...

The first 3 photos was taken during my industrial training time at November 2007. My colleague invited me for a dinner at a Japanese restaurant. Kuala Terengganu is consider "kampung" since there are none of luxury restaurant during my young age. During my industrial training period, there are 2 new restaurant opened near my training hotel (Hotel Grand Continental KT) - Secret Recipe & Japanese restaurant in MingStar hotel. Finally, I had place to hang out and at least I wont feel bored during my 3 month training in KT....The japanese foods are nice. 2 of us ordered 2 main course and some sushi..It was around RM20 only. It's really cheaper than other place hehe..

housemate's birthday celebration

Almost one week didn't update my blog...Actually, it's quite busy this week since I had 2 presentation and a midterm non-stop in 3 days..Worst part is I haven't study for my midterm yet..sob sob >.<

Today is my housemate, Neoh's birthday. We celebrated his birthday in "Wong Kwok" restaurant which is located at Dataran Pahlawan. Me, brother, and BoonMing shared to buy him a present - Parker pen with Neoh's name engraved on it..Hope you like it, Neoh .. =)

Overall, the foods were nice. We were exchanging the foods for testing. After the dinner, 3 of us (me,bro & bm) went for window shopping. When we went to car park, boonming's car remote control cant open the door and the alarm was ringing. While waiting for Neoh to get another backup key for opening the door, 3 of us go to take silly pictures. And swt part is..when Neoh arrived, we managed to stop the alarm dy..Really feel sorry to Neoh =p

Lastly, Happy Birthday to Neoh ... You're a good & nice housemate. Good luck for future undertaking =)

Short trip to Seremban

I've got interview offer from Samsung at Seremban. The appointment was set at 2pm. My friend told me that from Seremban bus station, need to take RM20 taxi to Samsung. Thus, I decided to drive myself to Samsung. This is my 1st time to Seremban. Thanks to jimui, Sky ... She accompanied me all the way to Seremban, even wait at Samsung security room for 3 hours since I'm need to go through 3 stages - interview, aptitude test & IQ test. Thanks lot, jimui =)

There are about 4 Samsung factories in Senawang industrial area - SDI, SDMA, SDA, etc.. Mine interview was at SDMA. We had gone one by one factory to ask the security officer about the exact location and finally we reached at SDMA.

The HR officer, Ms. Pei Pei was ex-mmu student and she was a nice girl. She asked me to do 3 test - aptitude test (125 questions), IQ test (50 questions), and color blind test. Then, I proceeded to interview session with 4 panels ... Ms. Pei Pei told me that my interview was ok and passed. However, the vacancy is urgently needed to be fulfill at June. I might be can't get the job offer since I'm only available at August. The HR manager asked whether I can forgo my australia trip...For me, we can work anytime and it's whole life routine..Thus, I plan to go for trip to enjoy and relax before starting to work. "Work hard, Play hard" is my motto =p

After the interview, me and Sky went to Seremban town. We followed the road sign in order to go to the town. We stopped at Seremban parade to have dinner. This was my 1st meal of the day. Overall, the food of Station Kopitiam was quite nice.

At 8pm, we drove back to Melaka... Although it was a short and rush trip, but it was quite challenging since this is my 1st time drove to Seremban and we safely reached to Samsung & Seremban without any map on hand =p

Photo taken when the car stopped at traffic light =p

Visit by relatives from China (09 April 08')

-- 09 April (Wednesday) --

Aunty and cousin from China came to Melaka to visit me & my brother. I'm still remember that I only saw them once during my trip to China when I was 17 years old. It had been nearly 4 years no seeing them dy...

Since this is their 1st time to Malaysia & Melaka, I brought them to travel around Melaka historical place. We had gone to Jonker Walk, A Famosa, St. Paul Church, The Stadhuys, etc... Although I had stay at Melaka for about 4 years, I even never been to some historical places before such as St. Paul Church.. (Maybe last time I'm lazy to walk to the top of the hill =p)

Besides historical site, I brought them to try Melaka food such as satay celup, chicken ball rice ... Unfortunately, the "capitol" didn't open and we went to "Ban Lee Hiong" for satay celup. But, my parents missed "capitol" satay celup so much

For accomodation, I booked St.Meridian Hotel for them since dad demand for 2 rooms apartment and Kings Hotel had been fully booked. Although St.Meridian Hotel rooms quite old but its swimming pool was nice.

On the next day (Thursday), parents sent relatives to KLIA airport. I didn't join them since I had presentation on that day itself >.<

Anyway, I quite happy to go around Melaka with relatives although I damn busy during the week. To LayHoon jie & BoonRuo kor, I'm sure will travel to China to visit u all..wait for me ya hehe =)

UOB Forum + Interview (2nd part)

Back to UOB assesments for 2nd stage...

Overall, my groupmates were nice, humour and co-operative. It was fun to be a teamate with them. We only used RM17 to design an egg catcher and our design was successful to prevent the eggs from broke. For the group which unable finish the budgeting and design within the given time, they had to buy extra times by adding cost. Besides that, if the egg catcher unable prevent the eggs from broke, each broke egg will be charged RM20 (overhead cost) to the budgeting. For improvised version, we unfortunately break a egg when throwing it from 6 feet height. In conclusion, we only broke 1 egg from total 4 eggs. Our total cost is RM 54 for 2 versions. It considered cheaper compare to other groups since some groups' costs are RM70-80...However, the main objective of the assesment was to test our teamwork throughout the process.

The assesment was finish and it was hi-tea time...Another free meal to eat =p (I'm so greedy huh, always eat eat eat >.< ) After 10 minutes, we entered the ballroom again for written test and presentation. There were 6 questions to be choosen. Fortunately, there was a question which was related to marketing so I choose the question to answer .. hehhe.. "How to differentiate urself (bank) from other competitors??" For marketing students, 4P / 8P is the common answer and that's my answers =p

For presentation, the panels said my general marketing concept and presentation was good, but need to do more research on banking & finance. Yeah, I admit it as I was totally done nothing on bank research since I busy like hell during previous week =p Anyway, I really learnt alot from them.

Finally, all assesment were done. I stayed back to chit-chat with the "seniors" who are currently working. They were kind in sharing their interview and working experience with me. They all treat me like a little sister since I'm youngest among them =p Really thanks to those "kor kor" & "jie jie" hehe...

Lastly....In earlier, I'm actually planning to give up on going to KL attend UOB forum since I had difficulty on accomodation and it's really rush for me since I had a lot of assignments to be done. But, thanks to my dear and housemate who continuosly encouraged me to go for UOB forum after I get the invitation.

After attending the forum and assesment, I really learnt alot and it makes my eyes wider. It was a exciting, challenging, and memorable weekend for me.

And Now...all the remaining 60 candidates were waiting for the results and those finalist will be invited for next stage through email...To be in or not is not the most concern..At least, I had learnt something that is beneficial for my future...

Exciting UOB workshop + interview (1st part)

Finally, I'm free after 1 week packed presentations + activities ~

Yesterday & today, I attended UOB forum at Parkroyal Hotel (KL) which all the participants had to gone through stages in order to become UOB's employees...

Friday, 6pm was the registration for all the participants. Each participant will get a plastic with a good quality notepad & pen inside. Then, we went to sign our name at a big board. I'm quite sad since my hp camera quality is bad thus unable to take photos for memories .. sob sob >.<

6-9pm was a talk about UOB background and Management Associate Programme (MA). After the forum, we were served with a nice, 5-star supper. The foods damn nice..such as tiramishu, curry puff, marble cheese cake ....

After discussing with the participants and mentors, I realized that there are many stages to go through in order to join for the MA. Suprisingly, the salary is $3500 and 21 days annual leave. XD That's why there are 700++ people apply for UOB !!!

Below are the stages that need to go through ...
Stage 1 -- resume filter process (700++ applicants)
Stage 2 -- 2 Question through email
Stage 3 -- forum & 1st assesment (160 applicants)
Stage 4 -- 2nd assesment (60 applicants)
Stage 5 -- personality test (19apr)
Stage 6 -- interview (26apr)
Stage 7 -- MA Programme (1aug)

Today, free breakfast, lunch & hi-tea were served. The assesment mark started to be counted since the breakfast..We were talking around, sharing experience between each other...Most of them are working adult or fresh graduate. They're big brother and sister for me. I'm nervous and I opined I'll be "fired" after 1st assesment since there were so many experienced and talent people.

During the 1st assesment, we were divided into groups and given 3 question for discussion within the group. Some of my groupmates "fight" to be outstanding till some of them were arguing points between each other. Lastly, the mentor asked us for a break to drink water for calming down. AND...we had been break 3 times = ="

After lunch, the result was announced. 100 people had been out from the ballroom..feel like apprentice =p Luckily, I'm in. I was really excited because it was unexpected since the competitors damn "strong" and talented.

For 2nd assesment, we need to design 2 version of egg catcher (1st version & improvised version) that able to catch 2 eggs dropped from 5 feet & 6 feet and avoid it from broke. We had to do budgeting and use the raw materials to design the egg catcher within 20 minutes...

----damn tired now...will update later =p ---

Final sem = Busy sem

Why the final trimester so busy aa?? Today (Monday) 8am will be the strategic management presentation about "Proton" and my part is about Proton's competitive advantage. For this part, I had used 2 days (without enough sleep) for finding the "competitive advantage" of Proton. The sad part is Proton has no much competitive advantage (as many forums and bloggers said)...I forced myself to think about the advantage --> low price, fuel economy, Malaysia 1st national car (I guess these the only strong points I can present about) >.<

Yesterday (Sunday) I slept at 6am due to the research about Proton and waked up at 12pm for B2B meeting. After lunch, I continued to stay at campus for another meeting at 8pm till 10.30pm ... Damn exhausted ... During dinner time, MJ went out "bungkus" for me n zexin since both of us were busy doing presentation slides. 3 of us shared 2 packets of chicken rice & char-seow rice...A bit funny when seeing MJ divided the foods by "counting" how many meats to put in this packet and that packet...Hehe..Anyway thanks to MJ for the help of buying the foods & drinks =)

The steps of dividing foods by MJ =p

Step 2

There's my dinner =)

In this week, I have a very busy schedule:
Mon - 8am presentation, 9am project meeting
Tues - 11am company interview
Wed - 10am presentation, 12pm entertain relatives from China
Thurs- entertain them also, noon presentation
Fri - 11am project submission, 6pm UOB forum at KL
Sat - continue the forum till evening
I wonder how I gonna to "tahan" in this week... But I'm sure I'll be "panda bear" dy . sob sob >.<

Marketing Project

In my final trimester, a marketing plan is needed to develop for Strategic Marketing (BMR 3134). My group decides to open a yoga studio which is named "Namaste Yoga Centre". In order to complete the competitor analysis and product offering part, I had design a location map (thanks for Neoh's help) and internal layout for "Namaste Yoga Centre".

Since small, I have a dream shop in my mind and hopefully it will become true one day -- All-in-one dragon services -- beauty + hair + make-up + boutique shop... Those ladies who want go to parties even wedding ceremonies can enjoy the services and save their times. Sounds incredible huh >.<

Anyway, back to reality... Below is the designs for the marketing plan. For those who want to know more about Namaste Yoga Centre please attend the marketing presentation on Thursday, 1st week of May, at 3pm in FBL conference room (Level 3). HeHe =p

Another busy & blur days

-- 02 Apr (Wed) --

I woke up late so missed the B2B class. After lunch, I attended a group discussion until 1.45pm and rushed to an interview with Eu Yang Sang. After finished the interview, I passed 2 photos which had been taken 2 years ago since I forgot to bring my newest photo. The manager had been looking at the photo for a while and she asked whether I had go for diet or no. She said I'm now more beautiful and thinner than the look in photo. Hehe...It means my badminton and "small mountain" hiking activities proved to be successful for my diet program =p

I drove to MP for treatment afterwards. Maybe too excited or too blur, I forgot that my booking is on another day. Sigh ~ Waste my parking & petrol $$ >.<

-- 03 Apr (Thurs) --

Firstly, happy birthday to Yin in sg. 21 years old loo....

Yesterday night I was too tired so fall asleep without adjust alarm clock at 11pm. I woke up at 10am and found that I was late to class, thus missed a class AGAIN ...

After lunch with friends at 11.30am, I had class and meeting until 7.30pm. At 5pm, I started gastric and pain till my concentration been distracted. Wonder why my healthy became badly nowadays, is it because I'm getting older or ??? Sob sob...

Another weekend is coming. Since there are many projects to be submitted on next week, I'm forced to cancel my trip to JobStreet career fair and switch to apply job through online method. Anyway, I'm going to UOB forum on next Friday and Saturday in order to go through 3 phases to get the job offer. God bless me ...

Karaoke Day

Today went for karaoke at Jetty KTV from 7pm till 12am, then continued with supper till 1am..At KTV room, me, sky, rain, byee, meiping sang until crazy & sore throat =p This is my 1st time of karaoke at melaka and also my 2nd time of karaoke in life ... We left the KTV Box by a club car. The driver told us that the car is sold at the price of $70,000..OMG, it is more expensive than a Proton Waja = ="

Although the last semester is very busy, but I've decided to go to the activities which I seldom join for such as karaoke & shopping since there are only 50++ days more to graduate. Hopefully there will be good memories for keeping in life...

Today's fun had ended and the busy life is starting again...Starting from tomorrow, Wednesday until next Saturday, I have 3 presentations, 4 projects submission, 2 interviews, and 1 two-days training...I can't imagine how I'm going to go through the week...God bless me
