LyCh33: marketing trip -- career planning workshop

On 03 May 2008 - 04 May 2008, there was a career planning workshop for strategic marketing class students at Anjung Bonda Homestay (Jasin). At 1st day, we gathered at MMU roundabout and depart to destination at 8am. Anjung Bonda Homestay is a beautiful and nice village. We had experienced village lifestyle and food along the 2 days 1 night camp.

During the workshop, we divided into groups for activities. The 1st activity was to use dry leaves to design the picture of our groups' names. My group named "Lembu Hitam". Our design was quite "unique" since it had "3D effect" whereby the tail of cow was represented by a small bushes =p After the completion of design, we needed to explain about the design to the panel. Thanks to the hardwork of teammates & team leader, our group won for the 1st match =)

After lunch, we were taught to make "ketupat". I admit that I had no talent in making things. That's why I can't even success to make a "ketupat" although learned many times =p Then, we go through "blind fold" activity whereby everyone's eyes been covered up by a piece of cloth. Without "eyes", we walked through grass, drain, lotus area, river....AND, my leg full of red scars after climbing down from top to river ... sob sob .. Anyway, there was a challenging and adventure activity =)

We had a mock interview by CIMB bank after the dinner. All of us were wearing formals for the interview. Since the time was limited, some classmates were going through the interview while the others (include me) were chit-chating and taking photos around XD

12am was time to bed. In fact, many of MMU students are hyper-active during night time ... Some of us were chit-chating, playing poker, seeing stars till 2am ++ ...

--- 04 MAY 2008 ---
On 2nd day, we woke up at 6.30am and doing exercises with "pop" musics .... Then, we proceed to breakfast, public speaking session, dream & goal setting session. Mr. Kho had share his experience with us about some do's & don't of public speaking. His speech was humor and make us laughed from the beginning till the end. He had successfully make me awake from sleepy condition...

Lastly, we were shown videos and pictures that been taken during the camp. All of our "actions" were shooted and there were many funny parts till we laughed non-stop ...

Overall, it is a unique, nice, interesting experience for me. Through the camp, we had stregthen our relationship between each other. Frankly speaking, I feel a bit sad since all of us will be graduating soon on June... Each of us will be heading to different career path & future. Anyway, to all Marketing frenz --> good luck in final exam & future undertakings. Meet you all in 10th Aug Convo =)
