好久没来这里了，就连密码也忘了，试了好几次才成功进入。。。

第一次在博客写华语。。。在律师楼工作后，参与上市公司董事会，面对中国董事的会议，才察觉我的华语竟然退步了，就连董事用华语交谈的会议，我竟用英文做会议记录，原因是我写英文快过华文，头脑process英文快过华文，甚至有些华文字我竟然忘了怎么写，还有人以为我是英校生，身为华校生的我真惭愧。。。以前的我对英文一窍不通,上了大学,第一年只交印度朋友,做功课,吃喝玩乐都与他们一起,逼自己掌握英文...现在英文进步了,华文却少用生锈了,不知该高兴英文进步还是得伤心华文退步 X_X

八月八号，不知不觉我来新加坡已有两年了，离开校园也有两年了。。有时走在街上看着学生，突然觉得自己老了，虽然才24岁 +_+

很多人问我,会在此地长住吗?我从小就在甘榜小镇长大,习惯过着朴素的生活...住在大城市,什么都方便,是没错,可面对着四周的高楼大厦,就觉得有压迫感,仿佛笼中鸟一般...我之所以放弃家乡高薪工作,来到大城市,只因猪头...可能你会笑我傻,高薪不要却跑来吃苦,我只能说,人的一生中没十全十美,有取有舍,你要一样东西,就得放弃另一样东西...

当然,吃的苦中苦,方为人上人...这两年,我学了许多,也成长了许多...大城市-对我而言,是块挖金之地...长住/退休,能让我选择的话,我想,从哪儿来,就回哪儿去...我觉得,一旦一个人老了,他/她始终会想要回归自己土地去...

这两年里,忙着工作与课业,以前几乎六至七天都在工作,有得上夜课及考试..现在五天工,可有时也得加班至深夜,周一三日都得上课...所幸以前是半工半读的生活,习以为然,不然就发神经入住青山院了...大城市虽五花八门七彩缤纷,可我很多地方却没探索过.第一我家离市中心远,第二工作读书忙碌,第三因为忙碌,所以空闲时间想做的第一件事就是睡觉.人人民以食为天,唯独我以"睡"为天 XD

有一个地方是我喜欢待/发呆的地方--> 我家厨房...别误会我喜欢烹饪,我自认不是个进得厨房出得厅堂的人...当我不想对着电脑,电视,任何事物,我就坐在餐桌上,听着洗衣机洗衣水声,望着窗外的青青大树,时而静止时而随着风儿婆娑起舞,头脑放松平静一会儿...

1st of all, happie new year to everyone =)

Another long time no updating my blog , till fren said duno i "dissapear" to where... Now, I'm at Macao Hotel, main purpose of online is check whether my tomorrow flight is on time / delay... Luckily (till now) is still same time, otherwise .....

So fast, my 10 days vacation at HongKong + Macau gonna end... Gonna back to working life, rushing works for Maxims Hotel which gonna open on this month...

Taking lots pictures, having lots fun and memorable trip.. Thanks to my dear who sponsor the trip & thanks to his 2nd sis too who brought us "kai kai" + treat us nice food... The most unique experience is sailing to an island for having seafood & sailing to Central river for countdown... This is my 1st time countdown since I was always at home every year..

1st time at casino is at Melbourne (till now haven't been to genting casino); 1st time new year countdown at HongKong... hmmmm... wonder that my "next" 1st time is where leh... hehehe

Oppsss... my online credit gonna end soon... Will try back spore update photos + blogs =)

--Site Visit + Gatherings--

It's a long time no updating blog as back to busy life. After my job confirmation, I busy handling few colleague's job and 1st time work many OT ($$ increase too..although not so much but happy as ex-job no $$ even work till midnight); and last week is my 1st week of ICSA class - corporate law and financial accounting. I'm very confident with financial accounting in earlier as it's the easiest subject to score during my university time. But, this time it's quite different with last time subject -- need to read many FRSs.. I never know what is FRS, and now each FRS has 50++ pages, and we need to study nearly 40 FRS + 13 chapters ... God bless me ...

Besides study, past 2 weeks had few interesting activities -- 1st time join for site visit and another lunch gathering invited by sub-contractor which I like it so much as the foods are so... so cutety and tasty =p [mummy said I noneed to slim down, always eat eat eat]

13 July is Teo's birthday. So all of us headed to steamboat restaurant which is opposite Bugis Junction to have a b'day celebration with him. This time, many of us cook tepayyaki food + nice sauce made by a colleague from Kajima HQ office. And, many of them eat from 7.30pm to nearly 10pm. I eat till 9pm then surrender, too full till run to toilet +_+ And mummy is yelling me again for eating too much, become fatty @_@

15 July is Hotel Michael topping up ceremony. My team project - Maxims Residences is the 1st hotel topping up whereby I haven't join the company yet on that time. I'm not involved in the ceremony as I'm not the team member, just grab some photos to share .

24 July was praying session held at Hotel Michael. At first, we thought is praying session for "good brother" but heard colleagues said the praying session is pray for smooth and safety work. "Good brother" session will be held on September, during the ghost festival month. I never knew about the praying session till heard from a colleague on that day itself. I accidentally saw a safety admin colleague who wear safety helmet and asked her.. Then only know that she want to go to see the praying session.. So, I "38" and followed her + the safety manager to the site [To go for site visit, we must follow safety colleague / my own team engineer to site as we are admin staff who never join for safety course..]

This is my 1st time to site. In ealier days, QS department friends asked me to go to site too but they said the best time to go visit hotel is during handover time as the air-con and rhe building is ready. I always want to go to site because once the hotels are opened for business, it quite hard for me to visit as the hotel, especially my team project - Maxims Residences is a 6 star hotel whereby the rooms are only for those invited. In other means, even you are very rich, you need to be invited then you only can stay at the hotel. Sounds very geng huh @_@

Back to the praying session, there are only 2 girls (me and my friend) and all are guys... Many colleagues surprise to see us and our appearance quite funny as we wear guy colleague's safety shoe..They said we seems like Mcdonald - wearing big shoe + big vest +_+

During the praying session, everyone, despite culture (japanese, bangladesh...) took joss sticks to pray as a respect for the session. After the praying session, boss brought me to visit to our team project - Maxims Residences. I visited the hotel rooms and felt it's not as big as what I'm think. Then, colleague said "they expect you to come gamble than sleep ma..so room small lo.." True also hahaha @_@

25 July 2009, our team been invited for international lunch buffet at Vienna Buffet restaurant which is located at United Square (near to Novena MRT station). This is my 1st time too to the restaurant and the shopping mall. There are full of customers. It served varieties of foods - japanese, western cuisine, teppanyaki, desserts, cocktails...

There are many tiny and cute foods till i took most of them to table and took photo. A colleague said I seems like to take photos than eat. Another colleague said all the foods that i ate was exactly same as what his small niece ate. I only realized what his words mean after a friend interpret his words -- means I'm very childish @_@ But I'm still very excited seeing the nice and cute foods around haha...It's another day that I ate full again >.<

Quite a long blog for today...I still remember that I wrote a blog with a very sad mood and I always used a word to remind me during my down time " There will be a rainbow after a big storm, heavy rainy day". That's true and I'm now quite happy after my depression time. So for my dearest friends who down at this moment, gambate + add oil... Only gone through sadness, we will know what is hapiness.. 10 July 2009 (Friday) is 1st KTS JV dinner gathering at Club Islander, Sentosa Island. Before dinner started, there was a game. But then, i saw many people taking photos instead of enjoy the games =p

The waiters and waitress are very friendly and helpful, even help us to put on the napkin... There are variety of mouth-watering foods - salad, fried, rice, BBQ stingray, BBQ satays, BBQ potatoes, bread and butter pudding, chilled almond with longan, etc... Enjoying eating and socializing around...

On next day (saturday), actually already planned go east coast with colleagues for cycling, but feel very sleepy and dizzy; stella jie jie said my face was green, so last minute canceled my name from the list and took bus back home after finished my work at 1.30pm. Maybe too tired, i fall asleep and it was the driver who wake me up... so embarassing... this is the first time i slept till not realized the bus reached the final stop... @_@ [Tammy jie jie laughed non-stop after listened to my story +_+ ]

Today (Sunday) go to new house to take key from cousin. Thanks alot for her as she rent the house for us and charge a rental which is below market price; and put aircons for each room + cleaned toilet for us before we move in. All of us will going to paint the kitchen on this coming weekend, and next weekend the new bedroom set will be shifted in. Feel excited as we finally stay at a house which is without owner, can cook and do freely as we want.

Now, just ate durians ... It's a long time never eat durians (since 2 years ago)... yummy =)

Tomorrow is Teo's birthday... All of us gonna to have a birthday celebration for him... Happy b'day to the "dai lou" among the gang =)

Yesterday, we went to City Square Mall which is located near to immigration at Johor. The main objective is to accompany zhu tou go do his new glasses.

During dinner, we tried a restaurant that never been before - "House of Sudanese". We ordered set meal for 2 - Sudanese fried fish, chicken, and mix platter. The foods very tasty and the sambal gave me a good appetite. The set meal costed RM50.80. It sounds expensive but feel cheaper after convert it back to sing dollar XD . We planned to visit the restaurant again for next week.

After dinner, we watched "Ice Age 3- Dawn of the Dinosaurs". This time the cute Scrat has girlfriend during his nabbing of nut. The story is about the gang (Manny, Ellie, and Diego) ventures into misterious underground world to rescue their buddy, Sid from dinasours. The cartoon is cute and humor. Nice to watch and relax mind from busy work.

Lastly, we went to "Padini Concept Store". I planned to apply for the membership as I always buy clothes at Padini but the forms finished. There's sales so I bought 2 clothes...

We left the shopping mall at 10:00pm and reached home at 11:30pm, continued with taiwan show - "guess guess guess" till 1:00am and sleep ....

B'day Celebration + Farewell Dinner

There will be 4 new colleagues [ all guys, and me the only girl +_+ ] to join my department, Maxims Team this month. A new colleague from M'sia joined us on 29 June as site supervisor, while another colleague from Japan will join us on tomorrow (2nd July) as engineer. So, I learn another new thing... Bring him go safety induction course, intro him to our department colleagues, etc ... These 2 days, were my busiest days since my 3 mths working. Quite happy as learnt a lot of thing. Surprisingly, my boss and colleagues taught me about PE calculation, and also drawings, door schedule @_@ I try my best to get what they meant, as I feel @_@ for those enginner's calculation. Hopefully, I'm able to meet their expectation =)

Today (1 July) is my 4th month working... In other mean, my 3 months probation is over. Hopefully my confirmation passed hehehe.... 27 July will submit s'pore PR form, and hopefully it will pass too =p

Yesterday ... a day that i eat from morning till night, wanna become piggy soon. Lunch time is company birthday celebration for June babies. I prefer this month foods as most of them are my favourites ~ vegetarian foods such as yam, hash brown (potatoes), mushroom; and dessert -- mango pudding ~yummy~

After work, we heading to Swenson which is located at Vivo City for dinner. I was headache since noon, thus I just order a tomato soup + mango shrimp as my dinner. They saw my food so little, so put their foods on my plate; and I share salad too with EeMin. After dinner, we followed EeMin to Giant to buy S$2.39 cushion supporting back on chair. We bought 5 cushions to put at office.

It's my first time join my department, Maxims team, for dinner. The dinner is at Bora-bora beach club, located at Sentosa Island. This dinner consider a farewell dinner too for a colleague.

It's a BBQ dinner. Variety of foods - crayfish, salad, prawn, otak-otak, potatoes, squid, etc... While wait the foods to be served, we ordered beers, cocktails... I ordered a recommended cocktail, it has lime + peppermint...Maybe I'm not use to the bitter taste, so i drink bit cocktail, then "steal" MinHui's ordered beer to drink to "neautral" the taste. Beer + cocktail = in the end make my face so red (they say mix will easily drunk, luckily I didn't drunk, otherwise ... XD ...)

After dinner, some chit-chat, play pool, take a stroll at beach.... 9:30pm....back home oi oi...

Tomorrow (30 June) is colleagues gathering + farewell for another colleague... and next Friday (10 July) is whole company, KTS JV dinner gathering.... Waiting for it..... =)

This week is quite tiring as out with friends till late night for 2 days - Wed night b'day celebration gathering for a colleague; Thurs night dinner with ex-company's colleague; Sat night try a new restaurant at Hotel Concorde. I became blur blur during working @_@ ... But, I'm happy as can meet with ex-colleagues whereby we didn't meet for few months.

03 June 2009 (Wednesday)

This date is Jeffrey's birthday. I only knew during the breakfast with them. So, we decided to have a steamboat gathering at Bugis as a birthday celebration with him. "Chuan Yi Bin" located opposite Bugis shopping centre (out from MRT, from "The Cathay" cinema, walk straight, cross the road, and there's the shop). For steamboat style, you can choose either 2 flavor soup style or soup+hotplate style. There are 4 flavour of soup - herbal chicken soup, tomyam soup, fish head soup, and "sour+spicy" soup. There are many foods too (better than the another steamboat shop that I went before at Bugis too)... Although it's weekday, but the shop was full with customers. Overall, I like it and will go for 2nd time. But, there's only a toilet in shop that caused many people wait for it and I purposely went to Bugis shopping centre's toilet.

A joke from colleagues....There is a bulletin board full with all staff's pictures categorized by department at each floor. So, many of staffs like to see the pictures when they pass by the bulletin board.

Colleague A: "A, your picture on the bulletin board, when it's taken?"
Colleague B: "That's my secondary school picture..."
Colleague A: "Waa...it's really different. Just like customer look at "catalog" (photo), it's very nice, but after ordered and the "product" (real look) received, it's different from "catalog"...."

There's a new colleague reported on 1 June 09. Before that, all of us talked about her as colleague C said that the colleague looked "sexy" by the photo. We told her maybe not as "catalog" always "nicer than "product"... Some curious by the "sexy word and want to see her photo..

Colleague C: "No need. The "catalog" is passed (pass through interview) and this monday we will see the "Product". Don't worry about the possibility of big difference between the "catalog" and "product" as has "3 months warranty" (3 months probation) ".....

So, the new terms among us -- catalogue, product, 3 months warranty...My colleagues are really creative and funny... Isn't it T_T

It's another outing, but is with my ex-company's colleagues - Mr. Loh, Tammy, and Lao Huang. They brought me to a restaurant located at Race Course Road (near Farrer Park MRT). The restaurant's owner is from China. We ordered variety of foods (All of them tried before and felt very nice, that's why brought me to there) - fried mee hoon, "lor mee", fried mee sua, etc. The "lor mee" is different with the black lor mee that we eat usually. I like the fried mee sua (A nice combination with crispy seaweed and peanuts) very much, same for fried mee hoon. The price is reasonable too.

I saw TV programme introduce about BBQ foods in Spices Cafe, Hotel Concorde which is located near to Somerset MRT. I'm attracted by the varieties of BBQ foods + unlimited salad bar for S$8 and unlimited dessert for S$5 ... Thus, we decided to try this restaurant on this weekend. It's need to make a reservation before go to the restaurant.

It's my first time to enjoy foods in hotel's restaurant. The nice ambiance + friendly staff + delicious foods make me feel relax and enjoy =)

The total bill S$70++ as main course + 2 drinks already cost S$30++ ... Since I'm not the one who always eat expensive food, so it's ok for me to try the yummy food + nice environment at this price =p

Today, my colleague who sit beside me just back from vacation at Thailand. He bought me a small bag as souvenir. Thanks =)

Earlier, before i report to this company, I scare about relationship with colleagues since heard from friends that big company is full with politics, and ask me to be careful. I been almost 2 months in this company join venture with Kajima (Japanese company), all colleagues treated me good. And, I haven't feel any politic yet =p Besides that, during phones, mum always ask whether I'm ok in new company. Mummy, when you see this blog, so don't worry ooo. Your daughter is happy working here hehe =)

Today is dumpling festival. Besides the monthly birthday celebration which held at meeting room, every department was given a box of dumpling too. It's a "mini X.O dumpling" (according to the label at box). My manager asked me to put the box on top of partition so that colleague can take and eat when they are back from site. When I put the box, he asked me "what is this called? It's stick rice??" @_@ A very creative name for dumpling. Hehe. He's a Japanese ma...

Finally, I "successfully" transfer all 300++ photos (taken since year 2008) from camera and clear the memories~~ Although I'm quite free at home, but I'm lazy to take the USB cable to transfer all of them from camera =p

Last Friday (22 May 2009) night was the 1st colleague gathering...is not with my department colleague, but with QS (Quantity Surveyor) department colleagues who sit at 3rd floor (My working desk is at 1st floor) + birthday celebration for Ee Min [ She's the youngest in company, after i came, I'm the youngest XD ] ... AND last last last Friday (9 May 2009) is another gathering (3 days 2 nights BBQ party at Downtown East) with my bf's colleagues from Jurong Shipyard.....

---22 May 2009 (Friday) ---

I been working in new company for nearly 2 months. Recently, few friends YM/MSN asked how's my life at new company. My answer is "very very happy", honestly, much more happier than the previous, can say is everyday wake up and go work happily, won't like last time, don't want wake up to go to work =p But what I don't like is, everyday pack in train like "sotong" and walk+run when transfer from Outram Park to Harbourfront. I still prefer sit + take a nap at express bus in the morning, no need pack with peopleSS in train >.<

Last friday night, after work (all of them work till forget time to go...FYI, they always work till 9/10pm, a very harworking + "piah" staff) , all of us go to "Music Dreamer Live! Cafe" a.k.a 爱琴海民歌餐厅 which is located at Marina Square. All of us are 1st timer, except our "Tour Guide" + the most senior , Mr. Teo, who introduced the restaurant to us.

Many of us were hungry, since the lunch time was at 12:00pm and we reached there at 7:30pm (It's about 6.5 hour without foods) ... AND it took about half-1 hour for the main course to be served. Actually, the place is a very good place for people to "yam cha" + listen songs. Their main expert is on that part, thus the main course dinner part is not their expert. Can forgive for that as the singers are really performing nice songs + createa humor & relax environment. If not mistaken, all of the seats are fully booked + seated , AND we are the only table who ordered many foods... (other tables only ordered drinks & snacks), till the singers also feel hungry (somemore we sit the first row) XD

During the dinner, we secretly ordered a cake for Ee Min which to be served during the birthday song... The blueberry cake has ice-cream in the middle layer, not too sweet, not too creamy, nice to eat =)

We noticed that there's a difference between M'sia and S'pore music cafe. At Malaysia (I'm not sure about other state, I'm always hang out at Melaka music cafe), the customers usually chatting, playing games, less people will like S'pore customers order a drink, and sit quietly, concentrately look at the singers + listen & enjoy the songs .... So, all of us (can say 95% of us are Malaysian) not dare to make big noise hahaha >.<

After the dinner at music cafe, all of us (except 2 pair of couples) heading to a pub to drink beer. It was 11pm, I feel tired and don't want join, but then give face to ee min as she stayed near my place (we are the only 2 girls and can share cab back home) + all of us accompany Mr. Chris drink beer to make him forget and release his stress from QS job of Maxims temporarily =p

It's my first time drink dark beer... I'm still prefer to drink "Anchor" beer (as intro by MJ during our mmu gangs gatherings) + "Vodka" ...

Man's Talk [ Jeffrey & Jayson not in the picture as can't accomodate in XD ]

That night, all of us spent S$ 500++ .... S$400+ for music cafe and S$100+ for beer. The beer was cheaper since can get 15% off of total bill by using CitiBank credit card [ It's my 1st time spend S$50+ in a meal >.< ]. In the other hand, the prices for drinks a bit high in the music cafe since many customers ordered a drink and sit there enjoy songs for a night + the rental at Marina is very expensive... Consider worth too as the singers are talented + create humor & relax environment for all of us... so a thumb for them =)

It's very fun joining them as most of their ages are around my age. Our chatting topic covered varieties -- local & global news, dramas, company, girls, guys, jokes, bla bla bla... Thanks to Chris who intro me to his department colleague as I only knew him during my 1st working day. There are some guys who are single, so my girls friends, any interested in who, please feel free to contact me kekeke...

9 May 2009 is Wesak holiday, previous years I never miss any Wesak celebration, but this year, I joined BBQ party with dear's colleagues. It's a bit weird for me to stay in a hotel for 3 days 2 nights at Downtown East, Pasir Ris as from there can take about 1 hour train back to my home at Chinese Garden.

The Costa Sand Resort is located beside a shopping center. At night, both of us went to McCafe for supper tea & newspaper. On Saturday morning, all of friends went to swimming activities at "wild wild wet". I didn't bring any swim suit so we walked around the shopping centre and watched a movie.

The BBQ started at 6pm. They prepared many foods - lamb, chicken wings, prawns, stingray, sweet potatoes, etc... After cleared BBQ stuff, they continued with games + beers. I joined them nearly the end of games and drunk 2 cups of vodka which is mixed with orange juice..very nice =p

On Sunday morning, we went to theme park as Cynthia had the free admission tickets. There are pirates ship, scary house, water coaster, etc. It's an interesting place for kids, but not for me. I prefer the theme park in Gold Coast =p

Overall, it's a nice place for those who like BBQ and relaxing from town life. For me, I'm still prefer BBQ at seaside, and hotel which can see the natural mountain and sea, instead of seeing "people mountain people sea" XD

面試官員：“讓成績不如你們的學生出國讀書”‧海外獎學金5優秀生落空
Translation à There are 5 students who score fly colors in SPM but failed to get scholarship to study overseas. This is the reason given by the interviewer of government’s scholarship: “Let those whose results are not as good as you all to pursue their studies in overseas”

It’s a big title on today Chinese newspaper (Malaysia). The students studied very hard, hoping to get top score so that they can pursue studies in overseas and achieve their ambitions and dreams, yet they failed to get scholarship and only a hurtful feedback for them “Let those whose results which lower than you to get the scholarship…” WHAT THE HELL (I’m so sorry. I never come out such word but this is really unacceptable)

Although government announced that this year will be 20% of scholarship quota given FAIRLY to those top score student despite races and background. But, the top score students in Melaka failed to get the scholarship. So, should we ask the next generation students don’t study to be top, just to be middle enough to get scholarship.

Friends whose result is 9A1 and 1B3 able to get scholarship to study overseas but a friend whose result is 10A1 + 1A2 failed to get because of her younger age. She was 16 years old as she passed PTS and was standard 3 “jump” to standard 5. I think our friends would know about what PTS is. Government conducted PTS test for few years and encourage those who brilliant to save 1 year of study in primary school and NOW reject people’s application because of people is not 17 years old. Luckily she get scholarship and loan from Singapore government to study in Singapore and she need to work in Singapore for 3 years after graduates. Will she back Malaysia in future? It’s hard to said so because is Singapore provides tertiary education for her instead of her home country, Malaysia.

There are many criticisms towards those who don’t want to back home country for working and contributions. You don’t want give chance to let them go study overseas and now you want them back to contribute their knowledge to you. It’s a satire…

There is an article in Singapore newspaper regarding different country education situation. Malaysia is described as “country which is EXPORTER of talents” Indeed, it is. Those people who never get any help from their home country, yet they get help by other countries during their down time, when they successful, will they contribute to the country which never lend a hand to them?

I hope that Malaysia government take actions in this issue, especially scholarship for non-Bumiputra(s) if they want talents back to Malaysia instead of blaming lack of talents or other country took their talents away.

An advice to a friend ~~

It’s a month working at Sentosa Island for Genting IR Project. I’m starting to get used to new system, new colleagues, and new environment. The most important is starting to get used to 15minutes walking to MRT and stand in MRT like “sardine” for half an hour in every morning.

Yesterday chatted with ex-colleague. Since my resignation, she forced to become superwoman - admin, account, HR, quotation, even sometime boss want her to do sales follow up. She always busy till forget to eat lunch, working till 9/10pm… Singapore is a place which stress on higher education level. She’s a SPM level with 8 years accounting experience. She would have a good future if she is a diploma holder. Her English is quite ok, but not up to boss’s (especially boss wife) expectation. Even she put many efforts on work, but still gets scolded that she simply did the jobs. It’s really hurtful. The worst is that she is the one who borrow money to workers and not the boss. The boss is a millionaire, staying bungalow house (A bungalow house costs at least a million and above in Singapore) and driving a new BMW car, yet he replied to my ex-colleague: “Why you no money???” when she said that she doesn’t have money to borrow to the workers. How funny it is….

If she has money, why she comes to Singapore work??? If she has money, why she is still working with a low salary but always gets scolded like hell???

I feel I’m lucky to escape from the company, but I feel sad and pity for her. Since before CNYE, all of us planned resigned. I’m even prepared resume and cover letter for her. But, maybe she had no confident, she feel that it’s hard for a SPM holder to get a job in Singapore, in such a bad recession. Thus, she stayed in the company.

Since I worked in new company, I see much more things. A big company is really different with the previous small company. It’s like heaven and hell (Please forgive what I said but it’s true for my feelings and thoughts…) For example, all of us get scolded for “low class English” in ex-company. I know that my English is not perfect as other English educated person, but my English still ok. The 6 months working make me feel that my English is very bad and is not even up to secondary school level. During my one month working here, I saw many emails from different companies. Some letter had a bit grammar mistakes and yet people is directors or managers from MNC companies. These peoples’ English maybe not perfect as “someone” but they able to expand their business to global. It’s very “feng ci” that “someone” is able to write a long and perfect even advanced English JUST to reply a few sentence email, but only able to do a small business, and even sub-contractor complained that “someone” doesn’t know how to do site inspection; customers prefer to deal with employee compare to “someone”.

I’m not meant to offend anyone here. I just want to express my feelings and thoughts. Even we are Chinese educated and our Chinese is quite “pro” compare to others, sometimes we make mistakes on the Chinese grammar too. There is no perfect person. I feel that a good employer should care about his/her employee, discover their strength good effort, and discover ways to improve employees from weakness instead of blaming who’s right or wrong or blaming his/her employee is not perfect or always scolded about the weakness and never praise on the strengths.

Anyway, not all of the small companies are bad. I worked in an event company during my university life and the lady boss is a very good employer. Just we are not lucky enough whereby we met such not so good employer. In a positive way, the worst will make we appreciate the better, just like what I appreciate my current environment, everyday go work happily, not like last time didn’t want to wake up for works.

Lastly, here’s an advice for my ex-colleague and those who face same problem as her too:-

Since CNYE, I heard many times that you said “wait…after CNYE I only see how” …“wait, after xxx I only see how”…..I know that you have family burden and scare once you change job, it’ll add more burden to you. But, I’m sure that if you still stayed there, your burden is still the same and there is another burden for you – your mental will be “abused” everyday, de-motivated, and you will not happy too. So, why not give yourself a chance, try to search for new career, and maybe can reduce your burden? I know that maybe recession would hard to get better job. But, there are still companies who want to hire people in recession time. Life is like a game, like a gamble. You will never know that it’s winning or losing until you tried it out. You’re still young, or you want to wait till 40’s, 50’s, or 60’s then only want to find a better alternative?

First of all, Happy Labor Day to everyone, especially for those who are working >.<

Another long time no updating blog. My working life still the same --> weekdays work, eat, and sleep. Saturday go for movie and try another new restaurant while Sunday sleep & rest at home to charge battery. So, there's nothing I can update in my blog with photos like what i did during my university time. XD

Yesterday went to ViVo City to try a western food restaurant, White Dog Cafe. There were a lot of people queued up which proved that the food are tasty and delicious. This month, I had been to Vivo City many times as my company is near to there.

Since had a lunch with colleagues at Burger King (Vivo City) and I tried a new spicy burger, it's bit oily and maybe I consumed more meat compare to vege, I feel no appetite to eat any meat for dinner. Thus, I just order a chicken soup and a plate of wild mushroom. [ Erm..I think all of my good friends know that I'm a weird person, like to eat tauge and taufu more than meat >.< ] The wild mushroom is really fresh and delicious. I like it very very much XD But.. a chicken soup + a plate of wild mushroom costed me S$10++ , it's more worth to order a main course than mine >.<

Friday is Good Friday public holiday...I woke up at 9.30am, played "Cake Mania" game for an hour, ate breakfast, watch TVB drama for an hour, cleaned messy room and messy papers for few hours. All my works were done. Saturday worked half day, back home played game and watched movies and sleeping until today. I think I almost become mushroom / spider web ....

I called my mum and said I want to study part-time. Everyday work, eat, sleep this three steps will make me become a real fungus soon. Honestly, I'm not the type of person who follow routine everyday ... Maybe I'm used to hectic life like what I did during MMU time - study, work part-time, do events till 24 hours are not enough to used and became panda bear. Mum said "U ah.. last time work complaint busy and now complaint free..." Hmmm...that's human...won't feel anything when he/she has the thing but will very miss it when the thing is gone...Just like a friend told me that she feel doesn't want bf when had a bf besides her but then feel too lonely when the bf is no there anymore.

I want to study...I want to do investment... I want to earn more money and set up my own business... I want to free from routine working life... There are so many things that I want and I still sitting here, don't know should start from where... Maybe it sounds greedy but that's what I want since small, never change ...

Give me some time and I think I should know ...

Hi friends... another long time no updating my blog since my vacation at Malaysia.

1st, thanks for all concern and support during my hard time. Now, I'm very happy working in a new environment. I'm now working as PA (personal assistant) for a Japanese Manager. Hhmm..my 1st event job during my MMU time was working for a Nyonya boss. Then, I work for an Indian boss and now work for a Japanese boss. Rely multiracial >.< Wonder who's the next boss?? Haha..

Our department in-charge for a 6-star hotel called Maxims Residences for Genting IR construction project at Sentosa Island. I'm the only girl in my department. All colleagues are very helpful and treat me good. AND, there are many good-looking and capable guy in my company. I still remembered that some friends who asked me intro some guy friends for them. Haha... Submit your name plsss, first come first served =p

Another thanks to my dear who helping me to choose this company during my decision making for the 3 job offers. Now I realized why there are so many people want to work for big / MNC company. Honestly, big company's welfare better than small company [Sorry, I'm not meant to offend anyone here, just my opinion =p] .. Every rules and regulations stated clearly in employee handbook. Maybe I had a bad experience with my previous company. At least my new Singaporean colleagues wont look down to Malaysia people =p

Overall...I'm happy working now and hopefully continuous happily for future although reality is cruel hehe..

And for my friends who kept asking me about my dear..Sorry for no reveal in earlier time. I feel to wait for more stable relationship then only reveal. Otherwise will like last time, whole world know and kept asking why when we break. It's really hurtful and tiring to explain to everyone regarding the reason. There is no right or wrong in a relationship. Just let it be naturally come and naturally go if it had to be gone one day. Hopefully this is the last relationship and the only partner who share with me in my future life.

Today is my last working day at company. I had dinner with my colleague before i took bus back K.Terengganu. I reached earlier at Golden Mile Tower bus station. The golden mile tower, aka "small Thailand", full of Thailand pubs, stalls, even the newspapers and magazines sold are in Thailand language.

At 9:30pm,I checked in for Konsortium bus. This time I decided to paid more for the bus ticket -- S$50 for 3 seater in Konsortium instead of S$40 for 4 seater in Transnasional. Why??? This is because I encounter big problem whereby I totally couldn't sleep well for 12 hours bus journey and my whole body pain for 2 days during my journey back to KT for CNYE celebration. I surrender that I can't stand for 4 seater bus for 12 hours journey.

I very very surprised and very very excited when see the bus. The bus ticket was stated "S.VIP seater" but the bus that I took is "Snoozer seater". If not mistaken, a single trip from s'pore to KL is costed S$ 46 for "Snoozer Seat". How lucky am I. There are only 18 seats in the bus and each of the seats has its own LCD (HDD player) and a earphone with controller at the right side of the seat. There are movies and songs to choose (chinese, malay, english, cartoon, indian, etc). The best part is the seat is all electronic controlled whereby you can adjust the seat down like a bed by just press a button. That night, I slept well. This is the first time (since mmu time) that I slept non-stop from S'pore till KT and no body pain anymore.

Although I can't read or see anything in bus/car since easier feel dizzy, but I forced myself watch "Hellboy 2" during the first 2 hours of bus journey. Overall, it's "very very" "shiok". Feel luxury, like sitting at 1st class or business class cabin in aeroplane. Unfortunately, the bus ticket only sold for Redang season. In other mean, I forced to back KT by Transnasional bus during CNYE. Sob sob >.< .....

Lastly, thanks to my dear for sponsoring the bus ticket =)

It's been long long time no update my blog... Year 2008 till now year 2009 >.<

2 more days, I'll be back to Malaysia - Kuala Terengganu and Melaka. 2 more days, I'll quit my current job... Resting 1 week++ and charging full battery before starting a new battle of life.

I've lost and tried hard searching for myself for 3 months... desperate, cried, don't know what to do and don't want to do anything. Really thanks to my jimui and my dear colleague who support me all the ways, especially my dear. I know he very "samfu" and stress working from days to nights, even 7 days. He never moody in front of me, in fact he listened to me, encouraged me, and accompanied me to go through the difficulties.

Sometimes, I felt I'm stupid cried for nothing. I know I'm lack of confidence as I'm a foreigner in a country which different culture and lifestyle.

At first, many said "economy very bad, everywhere retrenched, don't be so silly go resign / find job. Better work and keep silent even been bullied/scold like hell" ... I almost gave up and want to back Malaysia. He never had the same thought as others, he encouraged me and said "there are still companies which want to hire people during bad economy. if you really unhappy and can't take it anymore, just resign and go to find the job that u like. if really no job, go to study and upgrade yourself. Don't worry about the financial problem, I support u"...OK, I just give a try. I sent resumes, without much hoping to get any reply since most of companies want PR/Singaporean. Fortunately, I got 6 interviews and 3 job offers.

I'm very happy. Then, another bad news... s'pore government restricted Malaysian to work at s'pore. There will be 30,000 foreigners to be send back to their home country and 20,000 of them are m'sian. Friends told me that their friends got job offer at s'pore but the work permit was rejected by government. My happiness and hopes all gone during the days, even cried sometimes. My dear kept encouraged me that those rejected are diploma holders, he strongly believe that I'll get my employment pass successfully. At last, my employment pass was approved on last monday. He said " see....told u...cried for nothing...." >.<

"There will be always a sunny day with rainbow after a rainy day".....He's right. I should believe myself.

Gonna to miss my old colleagues. They treated me so good, taught me a lot of things, even bring me go try nice foods... Thanks to my dear tammy jie jie, uncle loh, and supplier mr.tan hehe. Tomorrow will have a dinner gathering with them.

I will be working as an administrator for Genting IR project at Sentosa Island. Hopefully everything fine and OK...

Today 11.30am went to Bedok Reservoir View for site inspection. "Ngam ngam" operation manager's house near to Compass Point, so "tumpang" his car go to Compass Point to see "The Little Nyonya" fan's gathering.

When I reached Compass Point which is located at Sengkang, I surprised to see many people sat in front the stage and there was a long queue. The gathering will be started at 3pm, yet there were many people at 12pm...

Since this is my 1st time at Compass Point, so I walked around, level to level. It is quite small compare to Jurong Point. And, there is a community library inside the shopping center. 1st time I see a library located inside a shopping center. It might good for parents whereby they can put their children to read story book at library while going for shopping without kids' disturbance...Good idea huh >.<

When I walked around, I heard a lot of people, even kids, talked about "Yue Niang" (heroin of the movie; acted by Jeanette Aw) and "Xi Er" (hero of the movie; acted by Qi Yu Wu). Seems the drama really successful and famous in Singapore.

There are more and more people…At 2.45pm, I’m lucky that I found a quite “OK” place (although is at side of stage), standing on the chair, snatching some photos (taken 100++ photos, but only few can see = =” ) … Every level full with people, pushing each other, some even fainted, and some kids get loss with their families… Bout 3.10pm, actors and actresses were introduced. A lot of shouts, of course.

After that, Olivia Ong performed the theme song of the movie “Ru Yan”. She sang quite well. A thumb for her songs =) Last but not least, the actors and actresses came out again to sign the posters for the fans. There were only 100 limited posters distributed to those who came to queue up. Some even queue for 6-7 hours just to get the posters for signature.

Merry Christmas

Yesterday Christmas eve, boss announced half working day, we can back home at 1.30pm..But, he came office at 12.30pm and ask us rush quotations, till 3pm just let we go. Actually, planning to go Orchard Road celebrate Christmas eve, but I want go back home to watch my favorite drama - "Little Nyonya". I never miss any episode of it, I think I'm crazy with the movie dy XD I like the heroin, Jeanette Aw, very much. Frankly speaking, I feel that Malaysian and Singaporean Chinese actors' and actress' acting skill were improved a lot. A thumb for the movie =)

Since i have to back home before 9pm, so we go Jurong Point for dinner and shopping. Jurong Point was expanded and became bigger. There were a lot of people everyday. Imagine that you can't walk freely, everywhere is "human traffic jam". There are at least 20 restaurants, but all restaurants full with people, and some even long queue. There are so many shopping centres in Singapore, and there are still so many people in the shopping centre...I can't imagine the huge amount of population in such small country..

I feel lucky that we didn't go to Orchard Road for celebration since whole day raining. So, I spent my christmas eve by having a nice dinner in "New York" and also "kai kai" around. Of course, enjoy getting christmas present and wishes; giving christmas present and wishes.

How do I spend my 1st Christmas day in S'pore? Erm...for sure is sleeping "kao kao" to charge my battery. So, I make myself to sleep till 11.30am although I woke up at 9.30am (piggy huh >.<). Watching movies, blogging (since frenz kept complained no any news from me XD) ... And later go for a friend's christmas party =)

Tomorrow have to work.. A bit sienz ... Anyway, thanks to "zhu tou" for giving me a nice present... AND ... Merry Christmas to all my friends and family =)

Yesterday night got a sms from yin who study at NUS. She told me that our secondary school's classmate, Jin Cin had passed away in an accident during that night. He drove back to KT, involved in an accident at Setiu. He was almost reach to KT dy, but he been called to heaven.

I was very shocked when i received the sms. The puzzles of memories, pieces by pieces, came into my mind. We all had been classmates for few years. As i remembered, he was a guy who not so focus on his outlook as he won't like other guy wearing smart, or tied in the school shirt into the pants. But, he is a friendly guy. Although not so "geng" with him, but we sometimes chat with each other.

Get to know from friend, he currently studied in USM, is a future doctor. And now, a future doctor is gone. I'm feel sorry and sad.

Human life is so fragile. You don't know what gonna happen in next second. To my dear friends & family:- Please appreciate the single moments being together with your loves one.

To JinCin:- sorry for unable attend your funeral. We all will missed you. "an xi" ba....

Today...Finally boss discussed about the website template. Previously, I came out few designs. She rejected--> reason: too simple... Hmmmm... me & secretary like simple & nice design, but she like full info design which looks more proffesional... OK... she boss ma so we followed =)

Although my designs had been rejected, but secretary and operation manager like my design. At least their supports make me feel better hehe... Thanks ya =)

Last week back from a terrible fire damage site inspection. Operation manager, Mr. Loh brought me go to eat Thai food. He said the thai food is very nice and it quite famous. Maybe the boss too rich dy, the shop only opened on weekdays from morning till 4pm; Saturday till 1pm; and Sunday off >.<

The prices quite cheap compare to other restaurant. We ordered 2 fish curry, kangkung, and eggs + drinks = total S$13 ...

The Northen Thai restaurant is located at tyrwhitt road (near to Lavender MRT). A thumb for it, especially the fish curry [even i seldom eat fish also feel it tasty] =)

Melaka...

Today quite relax at office... Later 4.30pm have to go east coast for site inspection and can back home after that.

Last weekend went to Melaka. I took 7pm bus departed from Singapore but only reach at Johor immigration at 9pm as stuck in traffic jam. At 11.15pm I reached Melaka. I had not been step into Malaysia since June. Really miss Malaysia foods so much. Once out from bus, we straight away heading to Mamak stall for supper. I almost 6 month never eat supper and sleep late...So, that night i ear supper kao kao and only slept at 4am++

Saturday (1 nov) packed with activities. Morning breakfast at "dim sum" shop v neoh & boonming. Really miss the "dim sum" so much, especially the university memories whereby I used to be always study till morning and went for "dim sum" breakfast. After breakfast, I went to 3 places - MahkotaParade, DataranPahlawan & Jusco for shopping. Thanks to boonming & jimui.. accompany me to buy many things - clothes, groceries, etc... Really thanks to boonming as his car became my car for 1 day =p After shopping, we back home to rest a while then rush to The Pearl Cafe to join another yam cha gathering with YewHang, Siraj, Chris... I want go to Jonker Walk v boonming too but really not enough time to use + very tired so give up =(

Sunday noon waiting for jimui... When she came, I'm already on bus since the time for depart was reached. Sky jie jie a... thanks for your "tong shui" but i no "hao fook" =( hehehe....

Really miss Melaka so much.. Although just stay there for 4 years, but I'm already took it as my another home... I'm planning to back Melaka again for shopping "kao kao"

I forgot about the date of motorshow... Just remember that day is Saturday. After go Marshall Lodge and Sims Avenue (near Eunos MRT) settle client case, I went to find chyehsiang. He purposely came down to s'pore... 1st objective is to c his gal gal ; 2nd is go to the motorshow. But it's a bit dissapoinment since s'pore motorshow is much more smaller than m'sia motorshow. And i feel that not so many leng lui de models. Nvm... I learnt SLR camera photoshot skills... better than nothing hehe =)

These few days chat with friends. Some asked why I so long didn't update my blog and they couldn't know about my life...some even asked where am I now. This make me remember the time I came to Melaka study degree. Some my KT friends thought I went to overseas study, some even thought I married dy... Really swt...

Hhmmm... so long didn't update blog.. Everyday busy with works, when back home -- dinner, bath, c tv for a while, then sleep... Everyday the same routine... I'm a person hate do same things everyday. It makes me feel my life no meaning. But what to do, we consider as "foreigner" in Singapore, although Singapore and Malaysia just a bridge distance. My aiming is to faster earn more money, then go travel around the world, do my favourite things, and open my own business. Thus, there's no way i go shopping and eat nice foods everyday as singaporean.

Got some friends thought we malaysian go singapore work... sure very rich. I want to make a clarification here... Please DON'T ever convert our s'pore salary to m'sia dollar. Example: salary sgd1.8k.. pls don't think it's gonna make u rich cos RM4000++ ... Unless u stay at JB, everyday wake up at 3am/4am ++ then stuck in traffic jam & immigration to go work everyday..Then u are very rich since u spend all monies in Malaysia.

IF u stay at s'pore, u ll spend money in SGD currency ... s'pore rental are higher than Malaysia. The room rental --> average price is S$ 450-600 for single sharing or S$250-350 for twin sharing. [ I have a friend whose rental only S$220 for twin sharing, but cannot use washing machine, electric for iron clothes, computers; otherwise need to add another S$30 per item ]Eating expenses for one month is about S$300 --> please take note that S$ 300 / month is for those who eat hawker centre / mixed rice everyday. If u want join friends gathering or eat at restaurant, it will be another expenses, perhaps S$400-500 per month. Since s'pore car is very expensive to buy and transportation is quite convenient, so many people will take bus / mrt to work. There are many people stay in west but work in east; or stay in east, but work in centre. Thus, transportation cost is about S$150 per month. Total expenses for accomodation, meals, and transportation is about S$1000. This hasn't include groceries (unless u want go JB everytime to buy the stuffs), study loan, insurances, pocket money for parents, CPF (if u're PR). So maybe only left S$200-300... Convert back m'sia dollar is about RM 450-700.

So are we rich ??? I don't think so. A mmu graduate is famous in M'sia, but not S'pore. Unless ur msia salary is 1.8k..then It's worth for u to come to s'pore. Or s'pore salary is more than 2k, then savings convert back to msia dollar will be more. For me, work anywhere will also can rich if you know how to utilize money, investment... I don't think a fixed salary n only save in bank will make u bcome millionaire. Unless u everyday spend little money, no go anywhere enjoy; and maybe u'll be rich when u're old.

If u want ask me why I'm still coming to s'pore since I feel that it's not so worth. What i can tell is I coming to s'pore is not because salary hehe... Some even ask why i so stupid give up terengganu public bank 2.8k job and go to s'pore.. Maybe only my good friends will understand that =p

Anyway..to my friends who concern about me :- I'm fine in singapore, learn alot, grow up alot ... When you all come s'pore, tell me oooo... Sure will bring u go kai kai (only weekend) hehe =)

This coming Sunday is mid-autumn festival. Really miss childhood time... During my childhood, all of the neighbours will be gathered at one person's house. Some will bring own prepared foods, some will organize games and prizes. The last activity is bring the lanterns (either own design or bought from shop) and take a stroll around the park. It's really nice. But, after grown up, everybody busy with exams, works... the people who attending gathering become lesser and lesser.

Now at singapore.. Everybody busy with own works.. Even neighbours also don't know each other. There are gatherings. But most of them are organized by councils or other organizations...

Lastly, happy mid-autum festival =) Let's enjoy the mooncakes + chinese tea and see the lanterns + round round moon ....

Yesterday, boss "belanja" all of us eat as welcome dinner for me at "Kingfisher Cafe" which is located at NUS. Boss ordered fish, baby squid, beancurd, pork, etc... The dishes were nice, especially the desert - "yam paste with gingko". According to my colleague, she never ate this before in m'sia and she believed that this dessert only found at s'pore. So, if anyone found this dessert in m'sia please tell me ya... Cos i like it so much XD

Yawn...Yawn... Don't know why today so sleepy... Oppsss... my microsoft office installation completed... Need to do my stuff ....

Today is my 3rd working day. Currently, I'm working as business development executive in a company. The company is from U.S., specializing in aftermath water and fire damage restoration services. My job is preparing marketing plan, brochures, doing presentations and maintaining relationship with customers (through lunch/yamcha).

Today, my boss brought me for lunch with main clients. This is my 1st time sit the dream car - BMW. Inside has GPS device. Damn syiok. Then, 5 of us having lunch at a high-class restaurant - Muthu's Curry. This restaurant is famous with its fish head curry. Boss ordered fish head curry, big prawn v sambal, squid, vege, and briyani rice. After lunch, we drank coffee & tea for 2nd round. The total bill was SGD170 ++ >.<

During lunch, we chit-chat around. All of them are nice. I heard stories about their NS life, nice foods in Singapore, etc ... Even the client shared with us about his real experience during Chinese ghost month festive.

Now, I'm waiting for my new phone line and computer (subscribed by company) in order to start design brochure, slides, and presentations. Boss said he will introduce me to 7 outlet manager and I need to keep in touch with them (another lunch/yamcha) .... Chou zhu tou said I'm sure fatter since always eat eat eat with customers. I think I need to go for slimming to prevent becoming fatty piggy >.<

I'll be back Malaysia for graduation ceremony on this coming weekend... 9 August is Singapore National Day. Hopefully we won't stuck at the immigration department >.<

Melbourne - Philip Island (6 July)

Philip Island is located about 140km away from Melbourne. Our main objective is to see the world smallest penguin. Since penguin will only come out when the day turn to night, we visited another 2 places - Maru Fauna Park and Nobbies Centre, before we go to penguin centre.

Maru Fauna Park is a small zoo. Again, you can see the australia animal such as kangaroo and coala.

At Nobbies Centre, you can see sealers if you are lucky enough. We were not lucky that day. As such, we just enjoy the sea sight + shaking when the freezy wind blow at our face. According to the tour guide, the place that we stand at is just 3000km away from Antarctica. The daily maximum temparature on July is 13.4'C. Imagine how so cold is it...

At 5.10pm, we headed to Penguin Centre. The world smallest penguin only can be found at Australia. The penguin's weight is only 1kg and its height is about 33cm. We are not allowed to use camera. This is because the flash of camera will cause penguin blind. So, we just sitting on beach, facing to the sea, and shaking about half an hour to see the little cute penguins walking back to their nest. The penguins are really really small and they are really really cute.

Melbourne - Great Ocean Road

There's two places you need to visit when going to Melbourne: Great Ocean Road and Philip Island. You can go to both place by day trip booking through nearest tour agency. HW brought us to a chinese travel agency for the day trip. It's cheaper compare to online booking (A$ 49 for Great Ocean Road; A$ 67 for Philip Island)

We had been stopped at many visit points such as Grampians National Park, 12 Apostles, Loch Ard George, London Arch (London Bridge), and Bell Beach. Along the trip, you will see beaches and seas. This is very nice for natural lovers. I heard a gang of teenagers complaints along the trip , " all stopping points also beaches and seas, is there any difference???" For those who are not natural lovers, you better think twice before join the trip. Otherwise, you will feel wasted. But for me, I really feel it worth because it really nice.

Bell Beach is famous for surfing activities. Even though is winter, we can still see surfers at the beach. Wondering do they freeze after surf???

The Twelve Apostles are a collection of natural limestone stacks standing just off shore in the Port Campbell National Park, on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. Currently, there are only 7 apostles left because others have fallen due to the waves continually erode their bases. If you want see clearer, you can take helicopter ride (fees applied depends on the minutes of ride)

Loch Ard George is named after the clipper ship Loch Ard, which ran aground on nearby Muttonbird Island on 1 June 1878 approaching the end of a three-month journey from England to Melbourne. It is a visible example of the process of erosion in action.

London Arch aka London Bridge is another natural arch in the Port Campbell National Park. Previously, it is famous for couples as dating place. According to the tour guide, the arch closest to the shoreline collapsed and there was a couple stranded on the outer part and they been rescued. It's a song you can sing when you go there. It's a simple & nice song that children also know to sing... "London Bridge is falling down, falling down...." =)

Australia Trip (Day 1&2)

Day 1&2 – 2 & 3 July 2008 (Wed & Thurs)

Today me & JiewAiel gonna fly to Australia from Singapore Changi Airport. Our flight is at 6pm and we had to check in at 4pm. Before depart to Changi Airport, we rush to Jurong East to buy sport shoe (me) and jacket (JA) as friend who studied in Melbourne advised us to bring more jackets as this week is getting cooler. We finished our stuff at 3pm. It’s a bit late as we need to check in at 4pm. Thus, we took taxi to airport. It cost us about S$22 from Jurong East to airport.

This is my 1^st time to Australia. It’s also my 1^st time to travel alone without family or tour agency. Thus, I’m very excited but also very scare that we failed pass through Australia immigration since many told us that we are young and immigration officer might misunderstood we go there for work illegally instead of travelling. JA scared till bought all brand new toiletries travelling kit, even in foreign brand. According to her friend, it’s better to avoid bring in things which “made in Thailand” or “made in Malaysia” as it might be failed to pass through Australia immigration (actually the brand won’t make u failed through immigration) = =” . There are so many sincere advices from friends & families since we are 1^st time travel to Australia.

There are 4 terminals at Changi Airport and ours is at budget terminal. After check in, we ate while waiting to depart. The food in airport is not so expensive as we thought, the price is almost same as other place. We ordered vanilla milk shake, coffee, and Foccacia ham sandwiches. It’s about S$8.00.

Finally, we are in Tiger Airline flight. We will be flying to Darwin and then proceed to Melbourne. In the flight, me and JA read Melbourne & Gold Coast book to get know more about its interesting places and nice foods. At 10.30pm (Malaysia time), we reached Darwin. We filled up immigration form and start going through the “test” of immigration department. The immigration asked us few question such as occupation, reason of coming to Australia, and length of stay. Surprisingly, we passed easily, even our luggage never been opened for checking. We still saw people pass through easily too although they brought in medicines and foods. It’s really not hard as told by friends and families. JA said maybe it’s 12am (Australia time), the officers are sleepy and that’s why we passed through easily. A nice explanation huh ???

After Darwin, we fly again to Melbourne at 2am. Finally, we reached safely at Melbourne airport. While inside plane, I thought it won’t be so cold thus we just simply wear a jacket. When we step out from plane, the cool wind kept blow towards our face. JA was cold until her teeth and leg shaking. It’s really freeze and cold. We rushed to toilet for add on more jackets. I wore up to 3 jackets and it made me look fatter =p

We took skybus to Southern Cross, Melbourne City. Since we didn’t know how to go to HanWah’s house which located at Lygon St, I approached an officer at tourist information counter. He gave a map and asked us to take no.75 tram and changed to another tram at xxx st (I forget the name). We followed his direction, AND we lost … During finding correct way went to friend’s house, there are 3 nice people guided us the way. Thanks to them and finally we reached after 1 hour ++ (the actual distance is only 15 mins)

At night, HW brought us for dinner and walk along Melbourne City. We walked from his house till Melbourne City. It took us about 1/2 hour and surprisingly we didn't feel tired of walking. Maybe it's because of the cold weather. (If asked me to walk in Malaysia, especially KL for half hour, I rather spent money for transport =p) There are many Italian restaurant along the way. We took dinner at a Italian pizza restaurant as all the pizzas are half priced on Thursday. The pizzas are different with PizzaHut's pizzas. It more crispy and nicer =p After pizza, we continued walked and visit chinatown & melbourne central. Along the way back, we stop while for eating ice-cream, cheese cake & coffee. Overall, we ate 3 times for the night XD

After back from Australia on last Tuesday, maybe sat non-stop flight (8 hours) and also took 5 times flight in 2 weeks, I repeated 3 steps (eat, sleep, watch movie) continuously for 4 days. Finally, my battery fully charged and now have mood to edit my 1500 photos & update my blog. I'm too piggy XD Sorry for waiting =p

Erm...I tried to recall back memories about what had done at Australia. I'll be posting up words & photos according to the days. As such, the total of the days will be 12 days (hope you all won't bored by the long words =p) . I'll try to finish upload all as soon as possible.

Gold Coast

This my 2nd time online at Australia but this time is at my hotel's internet cafe at Gold Coast. Today is my 3rd day at Gold Coast.

I'm really happy (can say damn "syiok") when stepped in hotel apartment room. 1st is it's very big (1 king size bed & 2 single bed), fully equip kitchen (microwave, oven, bread toast, steamboat poat, many many more), a clean bathroom...and the staffs are very friendly, even the price is quite cheap !! It's A$510 for 7 nights. (Melaka st.meridian apartment hotel also cost RM200++ per night) The apartment can in max 4 people. Imagine if you with another 3/4 friends coming for holidays..It only costs you about A$100-130 for 7 nights PLUS if you buy AirAsia promotion ticket (free ticket frm m'sia to gold coast) which costs about RM 600 - 700 for return trip. Total of flight + accomodation is about RM1000, and you can go to Australia dy....

Australia is a nice place, especially Melbourne (for me, it's a city of art) ... The lifestyle here is quite relax. If you like art and want see Australia buildings + culture, it's nice to go Melbourne. In other way, if you like theme park / shopping, Gold Coast is a nice place for you. Anyway, this is my suggestion =)

Hihi everyone...Currently, I'm at Melbourne University's library online...

I'm glad that we pass through Australia immigration, not bad and serious as many friends' said that it's hard to go through immigration since we are young and people might misunderstood that we go to Australia to work illegally.

Melbourne is a nice place. Now is winter time thus it's really really cold and I had to wear up to 3 jacket =p Melbourne people are nice and friendly too. Yesterday was the 1st day to Melbourne, we had lost during way to friend's house. Luckily, there are 3 kind Australia people guided us along the way. Thanks to them =)

Besides the scenery and people, there are different types of foods in Melbourne such as Chinese cuisine, malay, italy, greek, vietnam, etc... We ate 3 times in 2 hours for trying different foods (very full >.<) such as Italy pizza, mocha, cheese cake, and 3 flavor ice-cream (an unique experience for eating ice-cream during winter time =p)

I'll stay at Melbourne for 5 days and fly to Gold coast & brisbane for 7 days... Will upload the photos soon.... =)

Erm...Don't know whether is there anyone go somewhere travel till visit library??? Frankly speaking, I purposely go to library because of a mission - borrowing the travel guide book to avoid lost in Australia =p ... I feel not buying the book as it quite costly for me to use only 2 weeks >.< ($60++ per book)

The national library of Singapore is located near to Bugis Junction. It's really huge and nice compare to my country library =p It's about 10 storeys ++ ... The escalator is sensor which mean it only works after you step your foots at the escalator. What I like is:

1. there are many types of books in Chinese, English, Malay ( my hometown library only have malay & english... no chinese books >.<)
2. short pants, sleeveless shirt are allowed ... if you not feel cold hehe (It's not like m'sia that only allow long pants , sleeve shirt )
3. bag can be taken in at the central lending department (as i know, bag is not allow to taken in at my hometown library)
4. all services such as payment & borrowing can be done by own self at the machines
5. you can give back the borrowing books at any drop center at any branch of library at anytime ... it's so convenient (I think if we borrow book at Selangor branch, can't be giving back at KL branch right??)

Here's some nice yummy foods that I tried while "kai kai" in Singapore =) Here want to thanks to "chou zhu tou" who brought me to those places for trying the nice foods [as he want me to promote him in the blog haha =p] Hopefully I wont fat back again as always eat eat eat >.<

1st - Ichiban Sushi [ a Janapenese restaurant which is located at Jurong Point shopping mall. It always fully seated and had to queue up for waiting the seats]

2nd - "Xiao Xuan Feng" restaurant [ a Shanghai restaurant at Thiong Bharu Plaza. The price is quite reasonable. It only costs $20 for 2 ramen, 2 drinks & "xiao long bao". I had gone there twice since the foods are very very nice. I like it especially its hand-made ramen !! ]

There are 3 objectives for me at Singapore:-

I been brought to 2 places to try nice foods. First is dim sum while second is claypot rice. Both these foods are famous among Singaporeans.

Prima Tower, a revolving restaurant, is famous with its dim sum. It's near to Vivo City. To go to there, you need to take MRT to Harbourfront.The unique of the restaurant is it will revolving and customers can enjoy different view of scenery while eating their foods. It take about 45 minutes to finish a circle. You will not only seeing different part of scenery outside the restaurant, but also different part of the internal restaurant. The restaurant always full of customers. Thus, it's advisable to book the seats, especially on weekend and public holidays. According to Cynthia, a cute sg gal, it's the place for rich people or businessman to hang around, either "yamcha" or doing business stuff. Another nice food to try in Singapore--->claypot rice which is available at a stall called "New Lucky Claypot Rice". This food stall is located near to Clementi MRT station. When come to the high popularity food, you must book the seat too before you come. If you don't book, you will take 45mins - 1 hour to wait for the food served. Claypot rice will be nicer to eat with soup & vegetables.

After back from Redang, SiewYeng stayed for a night at my house. Thus, I brought her visited KT around before going back to Melaka.

We had gone to Taman Tamadun Islam. It's a place where different countries' mosques models located such as mosques from Nigeria, China, Iran, etc... The black crystal mosque is unique as it is built by using crystal. There's a small park whereby most of the Islam countries' mosque located at. Some mosques are big size while another are small size. The ticket to enter the park costs RM 10 for adult and RM 5 for kids. Besides that, there is a "bilik tayangan" (TV show room). Tourists can enter the air-con room for free and get to know more about Islam history through the slides shows.

Many friends asked me whether is there any nice place to go at Kuala Terengganu. KT is a relax place and there is no entertainment such as cinema, shopping complex... But it has nice beach and nice foods such as Nasi Dagang, pulut panggang, and small bun. And now, it has a place to tour - Taman Tamadun Islam. It's not only suitable for Malay to go, but also other races for them to get know more about Islam and other countries' mosques design.

Currently, I'm at Singapore and will be flying to Australia on 2nd July. Will be updating about my life in sg =)

Redang Trip

I'm now in Multimedia University Melaka's FET lab updating blog...

Although I'm Terengganu people, but this is my first time being to Redang (please don't laugh me ya =p) When I reached Redang, I'm been attracted by its blue sea ... It's really really nice.

The sea is crystal clear. We were going for snorkelling, seeing corals and variety types of fish. I had seen baby shark, baby turtle, and nemo. Nemo is really cutie =)

Thanks to MJ for his pro PR skill and we knew Din and Amin who worked at there. Amin bring us go to snorkelling to see big shark & turtle. But, we had no luck thus couldn't see the big shark. But we still taking pictures with baby turtle which pet by Din. At night, Din brought us walking around the beach and became our personal photographer. Really thanks for them since they personally brought us go around without charge =)

The foods served by Redang Reef were nice and delicious. After dinner, we play poker while drinking vodka which brought by ah pok. For me, Vodka is a bit bitter. I still prefer Anchor compare to Vodka XD ...

3 days 2 night Redang trip was ended... I'm never regret been there because it's really relax, serene ...

Just back from Redang, very exhausted after 3 days 2 night 's non-stop snorkelling & other activities...

Result was out...All pass ... Finally, I'm graduate... My stress all release ~

Dad's Birthday

We celebrated dad's birthday at Puribali restaurant, Kuala Terengganu. It's his 47th birthday.

Feel bit dissapointed cz can't taste Bali food as the cook will only reached kt on next 2 weeks. So, we just ordered chinese food. Anyway, the chinese food nice and the environment of the restaurant nice too since kt had not so much "high-class" restaurant. A thumb for it =)

After dinner, we went to Mydin Mall for buying bag for little brother. "Ngam ngam" there's Sony Erricson roadshow. The cars which used to display phones were nice in design =) Little brother joined for small game and win a pouch =)

5 of us (ZeXin, MJ, Desmond, RuLing, me) went to Port Dickson. Before going to Port Dickson, we took bus to Seremban to meet RuLing and "tumpang" her car to go to Port Dickson. At PD, we stayed at Sunshine Bay Hotel. The hotel is 2 room apartment and its price is RM140 per night. It's considered cheap for 5 of us =)

Thanks to "mummy" RuLing. She prepared all the steamboat foods, sauces, etc ... We had a nice and delicious steamboat as our dinner. I like the belacan sauce which is made by RuLing so much >.< At night, we played poker and the loser needed to drink a small bowl of beer. Overall, Desmond was the big loser since he drank most of it. Of course, he drank...His uncommon action --> "syok-syok sendiri" laughing alone and "performing" unbalance walk ...

We went to PD town for breakfast. Since non of us is PD people, so we simply walked into a old coffee shop to have our breakfast. After breakfast, we went to beach which is opposite the hotel for swimming. This is my 1st time swimming in sea. My 1st expression when the "ombak" splash on my face -- "wah...so salty". Then zexin's reply -- " sea memang is salty la..." = ="

After check out at 12pm, we heading to Seremban for lunch. This time we no simply walked into any food stall or restaurant since we had Seremban people - RuLing hehe..She brought us to eat porridge, "wan tan mee", dumpling, etc... I liked the dumpling =)

After lunch, we went to Jusco for window shopping. We heading back to Melaka by taking 5pm bus ... 2 days 1 night PD trip ended here ....

Today, me & CzeYinn took 7.30am bus to go to Singapore. There's a main objective --> accompany my dear frenz to settle her work permit. There's a big traffic at immigration centre. It seems a lot of Malaysia are going to Singapore for vacation since there's a big promotion whereby the ticket's price is counted in RM at Sentosa Island for Malaysian tourists.

At noon, we reached Eunos and had our lunch at the food court. Then, I accompanied CY went to her company to settle the work permit. Since CY was taking 7pm bus back to Melaka, so we went to Bugis Junction for "window shopping" while waiting the time to come.

My mission is accomplished after sending CY to bus station ... On that night, I slept without taking dinner. I'm too tired since non-stop trip from PD till to SG >.<

It's another rest day for me. In morning, I switch on computer to watch drama. It's a rainy day in Singapore. After an hour, I slept again (piggy huh >.<) I woke up by phone. I switch on TV and watch another drama .... Basically I spent whole my morning and noon by sleeping and watching drama =p

At night, we went to Chinatown and Vivo City. For Chinatown, my objective is just to see handphone around since my Motorolla E398 life span is ended after 3 years usage sob sob ... At first, my mind is just to see around. Ended up Sony Erricson K360i is bought. This is my 1st time buying a handphone without research. Feel bit unsecure >.< Although the camera of phone is normal, but I like its cool design, soft keypad and MP3... Thanks for the gift =)

We heading to 2nd station - Vivo City. We had our dinner at a German restaurant called " Brotzeit bier bar & restaurant". The restaurant was full of customers. Singaporean really knows to enjoy life >.<

I went to Johor to have lunch & took bus back Melaka. We went to KimGary (HK restaurant) which is located in City Square. Another restaurant which is full of customers ... I noticed that the KimGary's service process is systematic and the staffs' services are efficiency. A thumb for them =) I feel that the foods are almost same as "Hwong Kok restaurant". Indeed, I prefer the foods of "Dragon HK restaurant" 龙的传人 (forget the exact name of the restaurant =p)

My 5 days non-stop trip (Port Dickson & Singapore) was ended ... I straight lay on bed after reached my Melaka home. It's tired but it was fun and memorable =)

Next Sunday I'll be driving back to KT with my frenz and heading to Redang Island. Although I'm KT people, but this is my 1st time to Redang Island ... Waiting for it now =)

Movie - Narnia II

Yesterday slept at about 9pm after dinner & update blog since too tired. Today waked up at 4am++ .. A bit early huh >.< things ="p">

At night, I joined my juniors - Siraj & Jessica for dinner with my housemates too. That's been long time didn't gather with them since each of us busy for academic & activities. Siraj suggested to go for movie. We finished dinner at 9pm and straight go to MBO cinema for buying 9.15pm Narnia show tickets. There are many customers buying Indiana Jones show tickets so our cinema was very less people. We all can enjoy the movie without the block of a big head and also can put legs freely to in front. Sounds good right ?? =p

For Narnia shows...the heros and heroins grow bigger and that's another prince who called Prince Caspian joined them for saving the Narnia. I liked the mices since they're so cute and funny =)

After finished exam, I almost everyday meet friends for farewell and gathering. Everyday out = decrease of monies but = increase of sweet memories XD...May be it's a bit boring seeing me update blog everyday with the gatherings. But for me, it's the my University memories which might hard to be getting during working life. Moreover, it's considered as a backup of photos as I experienced loss of photos together with memories after my laptop been stolen last year.

Tomorrow is another outing...I'll be going for 2 days 1 night Port Dickson trip with frenz.

It's another dinner gathering but this time is not with my marketing friends.Is with my dear jimui, Sky jie jie & my dear housemates, rain n brother.

Thanks to Sky for suggesting a new place to hang out and the foods trying. It's a Japanese restaurant called "Wa Zhen" or "和膳"in chinese. Basically, I like the environment and the decoration. The prices are reasonable. It's about RM 18 per person for a set meal. There are many Japanese customers, even other other foreigners coming to enjoy the foods. Sky said that the restaurant is always full even during weekdays as previously her frenz had to wait about 1 hours to get a seat during weekdays. That's why it's strongly recommended to call the restaurant for booking before dining in.

We ordered different types of set meal for foods trying. Luckily remember to take photos of the foods as I always forget to snap until I remember after I finished the foods >.<>

We heading back to home after dinner as I whole night haven't sleep yet (kisiao watching drama =p) and Sky jie jie needs to pack things for tomorrow Taiwan trip.
